Historical information about the object

The plant was built and put into operation in 1914 on the oil mine “Doctor Freund” by the company “Production of Natural Gas”. At the factory, the so-called fatty (wet) gas was processed into gasoline (specific weight 0.660-0.670 kg / m2) by compression and cooling, which was added to petrol, and dry gas was used to produce steam and to heat industrial and residential buildings. The factory worked with an initial production of 20 tons of gasoline per month and operated until 1930. In Boryslav, for the first time in Europe since 1928, began the industrial production of liquefied gas sold in cylinders.
