Two metal riveted telephone supports, the beginning of the twentieth century
Historical information about the object
The height of the supports is 10.5 m. The width and length at the bottom of each support is 1×1 m in the form of a pedestal (fitter’s booth) with a height of 2.35 m. There are 112 porcelain isolators on the traverses. On January 1, 1900, the 24 km long intercity telephone line Drohobych-Boryslav-Skhidnytsia was opened. On March 1, 1907, in Boryslav, telephone communication with Lviv (and later to other cities of the country and Europe) began to work for the first time.
