Temporary low-skilled workers of the oil and ozokerite idustry in Boryslav were called barabs.

It was built of reinforced concrete in 1932 on the site of destroyed on August 31, 1927 old wooden “Barabs Bridge”, which served as a kind of recruitment site for temporary workers.
