The house where the Sasyk family lived

Today the building houses the Boryslav orphanage “Oriana”.

Historical information about the object

The Sasyk family – well-known Ukrainian entrepreneurs, industrialists, public and cultural figures, patrons. The most famous of them is Evstahiy Sasyk (1876-1919), director of the publishing union of Ukrainian translations of world literature “World Library” in Boryslav in 1912-1919, mayor of Boryslav in 1918-1919.
