The former Boryslav ozokerite mine

In the 1880s, a new large mine was laid in Boryslav in the Nizhniy Potik district, in the so-called New World, which later reached a depth of 255 m. It is considered to be the deepest and largest ozokerite mine in the world. In 1939, production from the two mines was 138 tons, in 1945 – 481 tons, in 1946 – 622 tons. Boryslav ozokerite ore management was the only producer in the world and
